Beautiful dystopic things for your Friday.
According to the description: ”This film was made over the last two years in our evenings, weekends and days off. We had no budget but a lot of help from our very talented and generous friends.”
See? Make your own way! It’s the best way, if you can swing it.
(Also, the vertical format looked great on my iPhone, and I assume it would look good on tablets and other vertical things.)
Everything I Can See From Here (by The Line)
Online premier of Disney’s Paperman! One of my favorite projects that I’ve been on.
Director: John Kahrs
Art Director: Jeff Turley (http://turleysketch.blogspot.com/)
Supervising Animator: Patrick Osborne (http://www.bighappyaccident.com/blog/)
Gorgeous!
Our very first animation ever! (even if it was just a practise work!) It took two days and almost 24 hours to get that one minute material, really gives you the perspective about how much time and work it takes to do this stuff. It was really fun though, to laugh in a closed dark room for two days with four people and move little pieces of paper around the table
Can’t wait to make moreeee
Just in case you all weren’t sure why everyone is saying “Throw money at The Goon.”
So, go throw money at The Goon.
I don’t remember if they had the mini animatic on the Kickstarter page, but if you haven’t check it out! And if you enjoyed it make a contribution to the Kickstarter or at least spread the word about it!
Come on guys, this must be made!

“Rooty Toot Toot” Directed by John Hubley from the UPA studio. It was once nominated for an Academy Award (but unfortunately lost to that Tom and Jerry Musketeers short.)
This is one of my all time favorite animated shorts and I really feel as many people as possible should watch it!
It’s animation education time kiddies.
